Mission Statement

The Working for Accountable Government website offers a Regional FORUM to provide:

Education & Information about Federal, State, and County Issues related to the Trans-Texas Corridors:
Alerts about TTC and TOLL Projects in TX.;
Tools, Strategies and Calendars for Citizens to Use to Take Action; and
Alignment with and Support of all interested TTC County Groups in influencing elected officials to represent citizen constituent interests by supporting legislation that reflects those interests.

local bills, emergency appropriations, and bills that
have been declared an emergency by the governor
Monday, June 1, 2009 (140th day)
Last day of 81st Regular Session; corrections only
in house and senate
Sunday, June 21, 2009 (20th day following final adjournment)
Last day governor can sign or veto bills passed during the
regular legislative session
Monday, August 31, 2009 (91st day following final adjournment)
Date that bills without specific effective dates (that could not
be effective immediately) become law
