To Whom This May Concern,
My name is Lance Corporal Michael
Mathes,
I am an infantry rifleman in the
United States Marine Corps., serving in Haditha, Iraq.
I have been away from my home and
family in Waller, Texas for a year now and have not been able to be
physically present at the meetings concerning the TTC-I 69 Corridor
that is proposed to go thru my home.
I just want to have my voice
heard on this proposal. I can NOT express how much I disapprove of
the plan to put the TTC through Waller County.
Waller County as you know is a
farming community and this corridor would destroy the county as well
as many lives.
My home is on our family farm, which
will not exist if this plan goes through.
I love my home, I can not see
myself moving to any other city, and should NOT have to even think
about moving, just because someone wants to put a super highway
through my living room!
I have a
question on this matter directed to whomever is taking the heat for
this meeting... where do you live? why cant the TTC-I 69 go through
your home? You want it so bad, put it there!
LEAVE US THE HELL ALONE, WE DONT
WANT IT!
I am sure you
have heard what I am saying before, im not the first to say this,
but I am fighting for yours and everyone elses freedoms back home,
I dont ask for parades or pats on
the back when I return,
all I ask is to be able to pick my
life back up, and live happily with my family.
I ask you this nicely, please, leave
us in Waller County alone, let us keep our homes, farms, and lives
like we have them.
If not, you can count on me to fight
you at every meeting, and there is nothing stronger than a U.S.
Marine fighting for his home!
Thank you for hearing me out.
Respectfully, Lance Corporal Michael
Mathes
